A jawan of the 11 Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB), died in a suspected train run-over incident in West Bengal on April 21 while on election duty.
According to reports, the jawan, identified as Imlikumzuk, had reportedly gone out around 3:30 p.m. for tea ahead of a scheduled 4 pm roll call. When he failed to report, fellow personnel initiated a search after his phone became unresponsive.
His mobile phone and wallet were later found in his room, raising concern. During the search, locals reportedly informed the team that a Naga jawan had been killed on a railway track.
