Dr. Sajjan Singh Yadav, Special Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, visited Nagaland on April 27 as part of a two-day official tour to inspect projects implemented under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme in Chümoukedima.
According to DIPR report, on arrival at Dimapur Airport, Dr. Yadav was received by Vineet Kumar, Additional Secretary Finance & IDAN, along with other officials. He proceeded to Chümoukedima where he inspected projects at the Police Complex, including the Officers’ Mess and Football Stadium constructed under various phases of SASCI.
He also reviewed the Unity Mall project and inspected barracks and Type-III quarters at Chümoukedima Police Station, constructed under SASCI 2023–24.
During the inspection, Dr. Yadav was accompanied by Finance Commissioner and Commissioner & Secretary to the Chief Minister, Nagaland, Kesonyu Yhome, along with senior officials.
He interacted with officers at the project sites and reviewed the status of ongoing works. The visit was undertaken to assess implementation and utilisation of funds under centrally supported schemes in the State.
