Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio visits Naval dockyard at Vizag

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio visited frontline platforms of the Indian Navy at the Naval Dockyard at Visakhapatnam on April 27, including a naval ship and a submarine, to gain first-hand insight into the force’s operational capabilities.
During the visit, Rio was received by senior officers of the Eastern Naval Command and was briefed on the roles, missions and capabilities of naval ships and submarines.
He participated in guided walkthroughs on board and interacted with officers and crew, commending their professionalism, dedication and commitment to safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.
Rio also praised the Indian Navy’s high standards of operational readiness and its crucial role in ensuring maritime security.
The chief minister was accompanied by his wife and a delegation from Nagaland.
