Nagaland’s Lenti Aier receives SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence

DIMAPUR: Lenti Aier from Nagaland has been conferred the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence, 2026 by the State University of New York (SUNY) in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement and contributions to the university community.
The award was presented on April 27 at the Albany Capital Center, New York. It is regarded as the highest honour bestowed upon students across SUNY’s 64 colleges and universities.
The award recognises students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion, research, campus involvement, civic engagement and the arts, while also serving as role models within their campus communities.
Lenti is currently a student at Empire State University, Saratoga Springs, New York. She is set to graduate on May 20, 2026 with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis, securing a 4.0 GPA. She is also a candidate for certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) and for New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).
Prior to this, she worked with the Devereux Foundation, New York, as an Assistant Program Manager, where she was involved in providing services for individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and emotional and behavioural challenges.
Hailing from Dimapur, Lenti is also the founder and president of Act of Kindness Society, a community-based initiative aimed at promoting social welfare and compassion-driven activities in Nagaland.
