Nagaland holds first AI-based Capacity Building Plan workshop

DIMAPUR: The first-ever workshop on Capacity Building Plan (CBP) development using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools was conducted at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima. The two-day workshop on iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) Karmayogi was organized by the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms in collaboration with ATI, with resource persons from the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India—Ranu Mukherjee, advisor, CBC, and Maibam Warish, State Coordinator CBC (Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland).
The inaugural programme, attended by 65 participants from 35 departments, was held at ATI with additional chief secretary and APC, director general ATI, V. Shashank Shekhar delivering the keynote address. He emphasized that efficient and responsive governance directly impacts society and reiterated that the fundamental role of government was to work for the welfare of the people. Officials from CBC also gave a short presentation.
CBP is designed as a mechanism to develop training modules for government employees using AI tools. It will serve as a blueprint for departmental training requirements, aiming to build future-ready, citizen-centric civil servants.
The plan incorporates the national push towards institutional capacity building while also addressing state-specific roles and responsibilities.
The inaugural workshop was chaired by under secretary P&AR, Limakumla, while the vote of thanks was delivered by deputy secretary P&AR, Livitoli Sukhalu. The programme was attended by additional director Bendanglila along with officers and staff of ATI.
