Governor of Nagaland Encourages Voluntary Blood Donation

Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, Shri Nand Kishore Yadav, who also serves as the Chief Patron of the Voluntary Blood Donors Association Nagaland (VBDAN), was called on by members of the association at Lok Bhavan, Kohima. During the meeting, the Governor lauded VBDAN’s life‑saving initiatives and praised their commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation across the state. He was briefed on the association’s major activities, including the launch of the Blood Donors app, which is designed to ensure timely access to donors and strengthen the state’s healthcare support system.

An active blood donor himself, Shri Yadav underscored the value of leading by example and urged more citizens, particularly the youth, to join this noble cause. He highlighted that voluntary blood donation is not only an act of compassion but also a vital contribution to saving lives and building a healthier society. By sharing his personal commitment, the Governor sought to inspire greater participation and reinforce the message that collective efforts can make a significant difference. His encouragement reflects the state’s broader vision of fostering a culture of selfless service and community responsibility through initiatives like VBDAN.
