A one-day training on Routine Immunization (RI) was conducted at DRDA Hall, Mon district, on April 30, with participation from medical officers, community health officers (CHOs), GNMs, ANMs, block programme managers, DPMs and ASHA coordinators from across the district.
According to a press release from the media coordinator, Mon, district immunization officer (RCH & UIP), Dr. Wungyong, delivered the opening address and underscored the importance of strengthening routine immunization services to ensure full coverage for all eligible beneficiaries.
The technical session was led by Dr. M.A.H. Azhar, surveillance medical officer, WHO Mokokchung unit, who highlighted the critical role of microplanning in effective immunization delivery. Participants were trained on key components of RI microplanning, including headcount surveys of pregnant women and children, mapping of sub-centre areas, tracking missed children, session planning, vaccine and logistics estimation, etc.
