Nagaland and Chhattisgarh shared the spoils in a dramatic 1-1 draw in their Group B clash at Ground 2 of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground on Monday in the Swami Vivekananda U20 Men’s National Football Championship 2026.
The hosts took the lead in the second half when Indrajit Roy converted a penalty in the 62nd minute. Nagaland, however, refused to bow out quietly and found their equaliser deep into stoppage time. Vinato Achumi struck in the 90+6th minute to secure a valuable point for his side.
The result leaves both teams level in Group B, while Manipur surged ahead at the top of the table with a commanding 7-0 victory over Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu earlier in the day. In other action, Karnataka kept their quarter-final hopes alive with a positive result in Group E, maintaining pressure on their rivals for a spot in the knockout stages.
