HoDs sensitized on financial matters

DIMAPUR: A one-day sensitization workshop for Heads of Departments (HoDs) on handling financial matters was conducted by the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Kohima, at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima May 6. The programme brought together senior officials from various departments to strengthen understanding of financial governance and administrative accountability.
According to DIPR report, the workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of HoDs in managing financial procedures with clarity, efficiency, and compliance. Sessions covered CTR, withdrawal of government money, personal claims, allowances, advances, audit, pension, budget, procurement, financial sanctions, and the national pension scheme. Emphasis was laid on minimizing procedural lapses, improving transparency, and ensuring adherence to established norms.
