DIMAPUR, MAY 7 (NPN): Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has expressed solidarity with Angami women’s organisations seeking justice in the sexual harassment case involving IAS officer Reny Wilfred.

The union asserted that students cannot be expected to grow under the shadow of fear or exploitation by high-ranking officials entrusted with protecting and mentoring the public.
To ensure the security of future generations, the ASU demanded that the trial against Wilfred proceed without delay or administrative protection, following a strict day-to-day timeline.
Asserting it waws not issuing this call lightly, ASU said they were prepared to go to any extent necessary “to support our sisters and safeguard the integrity of our people.”
Calling for a transparent and impartial judicial process free from external influence, ASU said it would remain steadfast until a just conclusion was reached.
“ASU stands ready to act, ensuring that the rule of law prevails and that the dignity of our land is upheld with the utmost gravity,” the union stated.
