DIMAPUR, MAY 9 (NPN): Builders, Architects, Interiors & Construction (BAIC), in collaboration with the Association of Nagaland Architects, organised BAIC Connect Dimapur 2026 at JP Park and Banquets on Saturday, bringing together leading architects, designers, builders, engineers and industry stakeholders from across Northeast India.
The networking and knowledge‑sharing summit aimed to strengthen collaboration and drive innovation in the region’s built environment sector. The Dimapur edition featured expert panel discussions, product showcases and strategic networking sessions focused on shaping the future of architecture, interiors and construction in the Northeast.
Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) CEO Thungchanbemo Tungoe, who graced the event as chief guest, emphasized the importance of responsible urban development and sustainable planning for Dimapur and Nagaland. He noted that Dimapur, regarded as the commercial gateway of the state, was undergoing rapid transformation, creating both opportunities and challenges in urban planning, infrastructure, traffic management, sustainability and public spaces.
Tungoe stressed that architects and professionals play a key role in shaping communities, preserving cultural identity and creating environments that balance progress with tradition. He encouraged young professionals to pursue excellence, innovation and sustainable practices, stating that the future image of Dimapur and Nagaland would depend greatly on their vision and commitment. He also underscored the need for collaboration between professionals, institutions and government agencies in building inclusive and future‑ready urban spaces.
The event was also graced by Ar. Visanino Kenna‑o, lecturer in architecture under the Department of Technical Education, and Ar. Prashant Pradhan.
According to the organisers, BAIC Connect serves as a platform for dialogue, collaboration and exchange of innovative ideas among architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, engineers, developers and product manufacturers.
