DIMAPUR: A specialist health camp on hypertension screening for adults aged 30 years and above was conducted on May 9 at Yangzitong village, Kiphire district, under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels project supported by Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland in collaboration with Yopikyu Thongstar Memorial Trust.
According to project lead Longtili C. Sangtam, a total of 97 beneficiaries availed health services during the camp, which included 82 laboratory tests and 42 hypertension screenings. Sangtam expressed gratitude to the doctors and staff of Seyochung Primary Health Centre for their dedicated service, describing their efforts as a true example of care and compassion for the community.
He also acknowledged the support and mobilization efforts of Yopikyu Thongstar Memorial Trust, noting that their commitment to public service greatly contributed to the success of the programme. Sangtam further expressed hope for more collaborations in the future.
Sharing the overall performance update of the project, Sangtam informed that since its inception, the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative has completed 488 MOPD services, reached 7,583 beneficiaries, and conducted 1,774 laboratory tests.
The camp concluded with appreciation from the community for the initiative, which continues to strengthen healthcare access in remote areas of Nagaland.
