DIMAPUR: DentalTouch Academy, Dimapur, in collaboration with Everyday Orthodontics and Dr. J. Balaji (BDS, MDS – Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics), organised a three‑day training programme on Myofunctional & Interceptive Orthodontics from May 6 to 8 in Dimapur. The sessions were led by UK university‑accredited mentor, Dr. Balaji Jagan.
DentalTouch Academy director, Dr. Temjennungsang Longchari, informed that the programme was limited to a small but highly engaged group of dental surgeons from Dimapur and Kohima, enabling focused and hands‑on training.
The training was designed to master growth modification and early orthodontic intervention. The curriculum emphasised treating developing malocclusions in growing children by addressing underlying muscle dysfunctions and skeletal discrepancies, thereby improving oral function, airway and facial balance.
