KSU launches ‘Education Wheel Tour Phase-III’ across Mon district

DIMAPUR: Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) on Monday flagged off “Education Wheel Tour Phase‑III” at Mon headquarters, with superintendent of police Mon, Kanchan Kumar Kandpal, officiating the launch in the presence of officials and frontal organisations.
As part of the initiative, KSU has resolved to cover 124 villages across Mon district within eight days, with the primary objective of strengthening awareness and outreach in the fields of education and health. The tour aims to interact directly with grassroots communities and understand prevailing challenges faced by the people.
During the course of the tour, the Union will conduct a massive awareness campaign focusing on prevention of anti‑social elements, conservation of wildlife, migration trial, child labour, girl child education, coaching and guidance for army recruitment, and promotion of local language under the theme “Your Language is Your Identity.”
KSU stated that the future of the region depends on awareness, education, discipline and collective participation of the people. The initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with the district administration and security forces to ensure effective outreach and public participation.
Expressing concern over lapses in various government sectors that have adversely affected development and welfare, the Union said the tour seeks to create awareness among citizens while highlighting pressing issues at the grassroots level.
Appealing to all villages, civil societies, youth bodies and citizens, KSU sought cooperation and support for the successful completion of the historic tour and awareness campaign.
