Dr. Vevo Phesao, general secretary Rev. Mosses Murry and Church coordinator and relations Rev. Dr. Hotokhu P. Zhimomi reaffirmed its sole commitment to peace and reconciliation guided by the Biblical principles of truth, justice and mercy.
The forum emphasised that reconciliation was not an option but a calling and maintained that the Church must stand as a witness of hope in times of division.
NJCF also informed UNC that it would soon be meeting the Kuki Inpi to continue dialogue and strengthen efforts towards healing and unity.
The forum acknowledged the painful realities of the current situation and stated that regardless of the challenges, peace must be given a chance.
“As people of one faith living as neighbours,” NJCF urged all communities to resist the temptation of demonising one another, stating that such actions only deepen wounds and benefit no one.
NJCF appealed to all leaders, communities and individuals to join hands in bringing healing to the region. The forum further called upon the faithful to remember that “God in Christ is our hope” and maintained that reconciliation was the path towards a future where justice and mercy embrace.
