DIMAPUR: Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) organised a one day campaign on “Environmental Awareness” at Regimental School, DEF Wokha, on May 12.
The programme aimed to instil responsibility towards the environment, focusing on air quality, waste management and sustainable living. Welcome address was delivered by teacher in charge, Richard Patton, followed by sessions led by resource persons—Akangmeren Imchen (Scientist C), Limitsa Sangtam (Scientist B) and Nikato Swu (Junior Environmental Engineer).
Students engaged in discussions on reducing plastic use, conserving energy and adopting sustainable practices. Resource persons encouraged them to be vigilant and play the role of “life changers” in keeping the environment clean.
