DIMAPUR, MAY 16 (NPN): Dimapur District Auto Drivers’ Union (DDADU) organised a felicitation programme to honour the outstanding achievements of children of its members who excelled in the recently declared HSLC and HSSLC examinations.
Speaking at the programme, DDADU president Tito Yepthomi expressed pride over the accomplishments of the two students, stating that their success was a moment of great joy for the entire union.
Noting that while one milestone was achieved he asserted that greater challenges and responsibilities lies ahead, and encouraged the toppers to remain focused, to continue working hard, stay humble, and strive towards building a bright future.
He also advised them not to neglect their studies and to remain mindful of the sacrifices made by their parents. He also assured that the union would extend support to them whenever needed. DDADU judicial convener, Yongshet Phom, also lauded the achievements, stating that the success of the students was a testament to dedication and perseverance. He noted that such accomplishments were once unimaginable for children of auto drivers, and described it as a proud moment for DDADU. Phom later encouraged students to maintain their humility and determination, while congratulating them on behalf of the union.
Among those felicitated was Aman Kumar, son of Hari Shankar Mahato, an auto driver, who secured the top rank in the HSLC examination, and Rohit Das, son of Ashish Das, who is alos an auto driver, who achieved 9th rank in the HSSLC examination in the Commerce stream.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Lanu Aier, invocation offered by DDADU vice president, Hokhuvi P Aye, while benediction was offered by DDADU office computer assistant Ato.
