NNagaDAO resolves to restrengthen network

DIMAPUR: To strengthen the network and address issues related to drugs, HIV and allied concerns in the state, the Network of Nagaland Drugs and AIDS Organisations (NNagaDAO) held its general body meeting at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, on May 15.
The meeting was presided over by NNagaDAO president Abou Mere, who outlined key areas of concern and stressed the need to address the changing scenario. Members shared views on the importance of upholding and revitalising the network.
Agendas deliberated during the meeting included NGO renewal procedures, inclusiveness of constituent partner NGOs and district outreach, advocacy, legal compliance, rising HIV cases, Legislator Forum on AIDS (LFA), Committee of Concern (CoC), and the Nagaland State Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Policy 2016.
The general body also installed a new team of board members, with Ketho Angami appointed as president. The house resolved to remain committed to restrengthening the network while continuing to address matters pertaining to drugs and HIV in Nagaland.
