CPO, WSH withhold cooperation to NFHRCC

DIMAPUR, MAY 18 (NPN): Chakhroma Public Organization (CPO) and Western Sümi Hoho (WSH) have expressed appreciation for the Nagaland Foothill Road Construction Committee (NFHRCC) and the importance of the Foothill Road project, but clarified that they were currently unable to formally extend cooperation to the committee.
In a joint statement, the two organisations acknowledged the invitation extended by NFHRCC for its upcoming meeting concerning matters related to the Foothill Road project and conveyed goodwill towards the committee’s efforts in pursuing the public interest initiative.
CPO and WSH described the Foothill Road project as significant for the welfare, connectivity and economic progress of the people of Nagaland.
However, WSH clarified that unresolved issues currently exist between its apex body, the Sümi Hoho, and the NFHRCC, due to which it was unable to formally cooperate with the committee at this stage.
WSH said that until such matters were amicably resolved between the concerned parties, it would not be able to formally extend cooperation to the committee at this juncture.
Meanwhile, CPO said it had no disagreement with the NFHRCC, but was presently constrained from extending formal cooperation to the committee as it remained under the guidance and directives of its apex body, the Angami Public Organisation (APO).
Therefore, CPO said it would be unable to extend formal cooperation until further directives were received from the parent body.
Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining cordial relations, mutual respect and constructive dialogue with all concerned organisations and expressed hope that pending issues would be resolved through understanding and cooperation for the larger interest of the people.
