WOKHA, May 18 (NPN): The Nationwide IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Campaign under PM JANMAN and DA-JGUA was launched in Wokha on May 18 with the aim of ensuring saturation of government welfare schemes, especially among tribal communities and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
The week-long campaign, themed “Jan Bhagidari Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle,” will continue till May 25 across the district focusing on awareness generation, beneficiary identification, service delivery and grassroots outreach.
During a coordination meeting held at the DC conference hall, deputy commissioner Wokha, K Mhathung Tsanglao, said the campaign aims to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of government schemes. He informed that line departments would conduct coordinated activities including door-to-door IEC campaigns, health screening, Jan Sunwai (public hearing), grievance redressal, livelihood promotion and saturation camps, particularly in remote areas.
ADC Wokha, Renbomo Ezung, stated that the programme was a continuation of similar activities carried out earlier and urged all departments to activate district and village-level teams for effective implementation. He also emphasized proper documentation and uploading of daily activities, photographs and videos through the designated portal for monitoring purposes.
As per the district action plan, the launch programme included team briefing, IEC rally and departmental coordination involving all line departments.
The campaign will be conducted in different clusters across the district. Activities include door-to-door awareness drives, beneficiary verification, health screening, grievance redressal, infrastructure inspections, livelihood promotion, SHG activities, entrepreneurship awareness and saturation camps for on-the-spot service delivery and registrations.
