No-confidence motion against NTC chairperson

DIMAPUR: A meeting to consider a no-confidence motion against chairperson of the Niuland Town Council V. Samuel Holo, has been convened for May 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the office of the Town Council.
According to a press release issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, a written notice expressing the intention to move the motion of no confidence was submitted to the authority on May 11, 2026. The notice was reportedly signed by more than half of the total elected members currently serving in the council, excluding ex-officio and nominated members, and was delivered by two members who duly appended their signatures.
The meeting has been called for consideration of the motion against the chairperson.
In this regard, all nine elected members of the Niuland Town Council have been directed to attend the meeting without fail.
