FGN issues notification on Kuki armed groups

DIMAPUR: The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has issued a notification stating that it has been “tolerantly watching” the prolonged activities of what it termed as “Kuki armed terrorists” in the southern sector of Nagaland and adjoining areas.
According to the unequivocal notification issued by the Ministry of Rali Wali, FGN alleged that the activities and “bloodthirsty culture” of the armed groups had crossed “beyond the range of human nature,” and called upon right thinking peoples and nations to act against them.
The statement further asserted that the ancestral land belonging to the Nagas is called “Nagaland” and maintained that every male or female born of Naga blood, as enshrined under Article 10 of the Yehzabo (Constitution) of Nagaland, is a bona fide citizen of Nagaland.
FGN also stated that the Kuki Tribal Union (KTU), its genuine members and all non-Nagas who have been honestly and peacefully living with the Nagas in Naga territories in accordance with the provisions of the Yehzabo are regarded as brothers and sisters and citizens of Nagaland.
It further stated that apart from these, the mandated Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland do not recognise any other group or individuals.
Describing “illegal immigrants, refugees and armed terrorists”, who are disturbing the normal lives and attacking against the Nagas and the neighbouring indigenous people are the arch-enemies of peace-loving people and nations, the FGN alleged that such anti-people and anti-nationals should be cleaned up together.
FGN further called upon all Nagas, irrespective of areas, communities and regions, to unite and defend their land and people as a nation.
