DIMAPUR, MAY 20 (NPN): Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Wednesday interacted with officials of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Kohima, and media personnel who had recently participated in a press tour to Bihar, during a meeting held at Lok Bhavan.
The interactive session centred on the experiences and observations of the media delegation during their visit. Participants shared that the tour broadened their understanding of Bihar’s rich cultural and historical heritage, describing it as an eye-opening experience reflecting the country’s diversity and unity.
Media personnel also highlighted the rapid infrastructural development witnessed in Bihar, particularly in roads and bridges, and appreciated the progress in connectivity and public infrastructure. They noted that such initiatives could serve as examples for Nagaland. The delegation further acknowledged Bihar’s ancient centres of learning, evolving education system, and emphasis on good governance and public welfare.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Yadav expressed happiness over the valuable experiences gained by the delegation. He said exposure visits strengthen inter-state understanding and encourage exchange of ideas and best practices. Stressing on peace, safety, and development as key aspects for progress, the Governor remarked that sustainable growth can only take place in an atmosphere of peace and security. He also emphasized Nagaland’s potential for economic growth through tourism by showcasing its rich traditions, natural beauty, and cultural heritage.
The interaction concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing gratitude for the opportunity to share their insights from the educational press tour.
