FGN terminates ‘rali wali kilonser’

DIMAPUR: In the interest of maintaining discipline, accountability and integrity, the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has terminated Kudukhoyi Vero from active National Service with immediate effect.
A press release signed by Kedahge, FGN, Gen. (Retd.) T.M. Rhakho, informed that Vero, who was assigned as ‘rali wali kilonser’ and entrusted with overseeing financial affairs under Kohima Town jurisdiction, had been issuing challans in the name and office of ‘Chaplee Kilonser’, constituting misuse of authority. The release termed the act as “against established norms and procedures of the Government.”
It further stated that failure to submit or deposit collected amounts to the Government treasury despite repeated expectations and responsibilities entrusted upon him was viewed seriously. Following due deliberation, the Council of Kilonsers resolved to terminate Vero from active National Service and relieved him of all assignments, responsibilities and authorities previously entrusted under the FGN.
FGN also directed and cautioned the Naga public to not entertain, recognize or deal with him in any capacity whatsoever on behalf of the Government.
