DIMAPUR: NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) has expressed deep concern and anguish over the prevailing situation in Southern Nagaland, condemning incidents of forced kidnapping, disappearance of innocent Naga civilians and unlawful hostage-taking, which it termed as acts against humanity.
In a statement issued by its MIP, the group cautioned that “any amount of lies or distortion of facts is not going to change history,” asserting that the ancestral land of the Nagas belongs to the Nagas and will remain so. It maintained that Nagas are one wherever they are and will defend their historical and political rights at all costs. The statement further said that any threat to one Naga tribe is a challenge to all Nagas, warning that such challenges would face the full force if put to test. It expressed hope that good sense would prevail among Kuki leaders to choose peace and harmony over violence, adding that violence would do no good to either community.
