DIMAPUR: Sainik School Punglwa (SSP), Nagaland, conducted its annual investiture ceremony on May 23, during which 42 cadets were entrusted with various appointments and leadership responsibilities. The ceremony aimed to recognise deserving cadets while providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills and serve the school. The event was graced by the School Principal, Col (Dr) Smita Misra.
In her address, Col (Dr) Misra highlighted the significance of the responsibilities entrusted to the newly appointed leaders and urged them to uphold the oath they had taken. She also reminded cadets to remain focused on their studies as they prepare for the summer vacation.
A total of 42 cadets were appointed to leadership positions, including 14 school-level appointments and 28 house-level roles across the institution’s 10 houses. Cadet Langpai L. was appointed as the School Cadet Captain, while Cadet Dzuzuto assumed the role of School Adjutant. Cadets Pranav, Aditya Kumar and Esu Lajemei were appointed as Academic, Discipline and Sports Captains, respectively. Among the girl cadets, Angela Rimi Pura was named Captain, with Laishram Daina Devi as Vice-Captain.
On the occasion, the Principal also released VYWOM (Voice of the Young Warriors of Morung), the school’s bi-annual cadet newsletter.
