Training for crèche workers in Chümoukedima

DIMAPUR: A three-day State-level training programme for crèche workers under Palna – Anganwadi-Cum-Crèche (AWCC) was organised by Mission Shakti Nagaland, the Department of Social Welfare from May 20 to 22, 2026 at the Anganwadi Training Centre (AWTC), Diphupar A, Chümoukedima.
In a press release, State Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW), Nagaland, Kohima informed that delivering introductory remarks, director of Social Welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi, encouraged participants to serve with dedication at the grassroots level. She urged them to make effective use of the training and ensure that crèche facilities provide a safe and secure environment for children.
Keynote address was delivered by secretary, Social Welfare, and Mission Director, Mission Shakti, Yongchingkumla, who highlighted that the expansion of Palna centres in the state, which would enable more women, both in organised and unorganised sectors, to benefit from the initiative. The training programme was conducted under the supervision of Course Directors, CDPO, Unice, and CDPO, Limasangla. The inaugural programme was chaired by assistant director, Social Welfare, Asangla Jamir.
