Shamator bids farewell to outgoing DC

DIMAPUR: A farewell programme in honour of outgoing deputy commissioner (DC) of Shamator, Chubatemjem, was held at the DC Conference Hall on May 22.
Addressing the gathering, the outgoing DC expressed gratitude to all heads of departments (HoDs), civil society organisations and the public of Shamator for their cooperation and support during his tenure. He said their active participation had enabled smooth functioning of the administration. Highlighting the needs of the district, he urged HoDs to remain dedicated, noting that Shamator, being one of the newest districts, requires focused attention for all-round development. Speaking on behalf of the Yimkhiung Tribal Council, Hankiu appreciated the DC’s dedicated service, stating that his constant presence and leadership contributed significantly to administrative progress.
On behalf of the district administration, SDO (Civil) Athrong Yimchunger lauded the DC for his sincere and approachable leadership, noting that he was accessible to both officers and the public at all times. Additional SP Shamator Imlinungsang, head GB Kiumukam Janger, and LDA Yakor Kiumukam also spoke during the programme.
