The event recorded an encouraging total sale of approximately Rs. 5 lakh, highlighting the increasing interest and economic potential of floriculture in the region.
Competitions were judged by the president and team of the Nagaland Flower Growers Society (NFGS). The winners included: Best Individual Potted Hydrangea – Meyiezo Sale, Best Hydrangea Garden – Levino Thaprü and Children’s Floral (Hydrangea) Arrangement Competition – Tsovino Luho
Organizers stated that the event was not only a celebration of flowers but also an initiative to promote community participation, tourism potential, and sustainable livelihood opportunities through floriculture in Khuzama Village.
The overwhelming success of the 1st Hydrangea Fair 2026 has laid a strong foundation for its continuation as a key platform for community development, cultural promotion, and eco-tourism initiatives, while also building momentum towards the Khuzama Baptist Church Centenary celebrations in 2030.
Earlier, the programme commenced with an opening prayer by pastor, Khuzama Baptist Church Mhaphuvi Naleo.
