BS&G Dimapur inducts new officials

DIMAPUR: Bharat Scouts & Guides Association, Dimapur held its induction programme at the District Education Office, Nagarajan, Dimapur on May 21.
During the ceremony, DEO Y. Mughao Zhimo was inducted as District Chief Commissioner, while Sr. SDEO Kitoshi Z. Swu assumed charge as district secretary. The induction was conducted by officials of the Bharat Scouts & Guides, with ADOC (G) Viheli Kiba inducting Kitoshi Z. Swu and Hokali Sema, and ADOC (S) Aotoshi inducting Y. Mughao Zhimo.
Delivering the welcome address, V.K. Shah, State Commissioner (Scouts) and principal of Vidhya Bhawan Higher Secondary School, highlighted the significance of the movement and encouraged the newly inducted officials to work sincerely for the welfare and development of young scouts and guides.
In his address, District Chief Commissioner Zhimo expressed gratitude for the honour, describing the movement as a mission that instills character, discipline, leadership, service and patriotism among youth. He assured his commitment to strengthening the movement and urged schools and communities to extend support for wider participation.
District Secretary Swu thanked the association for the trust placed in her, stressing the importance of discipline, teamwork and compassion in nurturing responsible citizens. Hokali Sema, inducted as District Organising Commissioner (Guide), pledged to focus on reaching girls in government schools without Guide Companies and supporting Guiders in overcoming challenges.
The programme was chaired by Rokovi I. Phira of Highland Hall Unit, with invocation prayer led by Viheli Kiba and concluded with a vote of thanks by Aotoshi.
