Aids and assistive devices distributed at Tseminyu

DIMAPUR: The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in collaboration with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), AASRA Dimapur, Social Welfare Department and District Administration Tseminyu, organized a distribution programme of free aids and assistive devices under the ADIP and RVY schemes at Tseminyu Town Hall on Thursday.
According to a DIPR report, the initiative benefited registered Divyangjan persons with disabilities and senior citizens from several villages, including Tseminyu Town, Tseminyu South, Zisunyu, Phenda, Terogvunyu, Kashanyu, Hebenji, New Terogvunyu, Phenwhenyu, Phentejon Bamboo Model and Guju.
The programme was chaired by CDPO Tseminyu, Obed Magh. The manager of ALIMCO provided a briefing on the ADIP and RVY schemes, highlighting their role in supporting accessibility and inclusion. Deputy Commissioner Japheth Woch, addressed the gathering and personally distributed the devices to beneficiaries.
