WOKHA, JUN 7 (NPN): A free health check up camp was organised at Mungya village on Sunday under the initiative of Dr. Mharhoni Odyuo in collaboration with HN Pharmacy, providing medical consultation and treatment services to residents.
The camp was aimed at bringing healthcare closer to rural communities where access to medical facilities, medicines and regular check ups remains limited. For many villagers, seeking medical care often requires travelling to Wokha town, which poses challenges particularly for the elderly and those with mobility issues.
A total of 42 individuals availed free consultations and medicines during the programme. Organisers said patients sought treatment for nerve related ailments, urinary tract infections (UTI), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), knee and shoulder pain, among other concerns. The oldest beneficiary was 90 year old Womongo.
Residents expressed gratitude to the organisers for addressing the medical needs of villagers who often struggle to access quality healthcare. Medicines distributed during the camp were sponsored by HN Pharmacy, located below Bank of Baroda at Police Point, Wokha.
