DIMAPUR: The School Ministry of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) organised a two day Teachers’ Training programme on June 4 and 5 at EBRC Hall, Pungro Town for member schools under the Pungro Area. The training aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness, strengthening mentorship skills and reaffirming the vision and objectives of mission schools.
According to a press release, a total of 41 teachers representing four member schools from Mimi, Moya, Pungro Town and Pungro Village participated. The resource team comprised Principal of Christian Higher Secondary School, Moa Walling, members of the CHSS teachers’ team and representatives from NBCC School Ministry.
Sessions covered basic teaching skills, mentorship, soft skills and parental relationships. Participants also engaged in group activities and subject specific practical training for Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, Foundational and English teachers, facilitated by the CHSS team.
The programme concluded with the presentation of certificates, with participants challenged to continue serving as effective educators and mentors in their schools and communities.
