POCSO case: Senden demands stern action

DIMAPUR, JUN 10 (NPN): Ao Senden has strongly condemned the vile act of alleged sexual crime against a minor girl in Dimapur, allegedly involving O Watimeren Jamir, s/o Lt T. Opang Jamir of Unger village; Tsuktimongba, s/o Lt. Supongmeren of Sungratsu village; and Akangkokba, s/o Lt Imsunukshi of Unger village.
Ao Senden president Marsanen Imsong and general secretary Imtipokyim said there was no place in society for such animalistic conduct against fellow human, particularly a vulnerable minor girl. It urged law enforcement agencies to ensure speedy probe and exemplary punishment, irrespective of status or position. “We stand in solidarity with the victim and pray that this incident shall not be a scar on her life but she will pick up her life for a brighter future,” it added.
