Awareness programme on pollution control at Pfutsero

DIMAPUR: ADC and Executive Officer, Pfutsero Town Council, Mhalo Humtsoe has informed that an awareness-cum-interactive programme on pollution control, in collaboration with the Nagaland Pollution Control Board, will be held on June 17 at 1 p.m. at Town Hall, Ketoupa.
The programme will focus on the new Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules 2026, providing an overview of responsibilities of waste generators, compliance requirements, and implications for town councils and stakeholders. It will also deliberate on environmental issues including ambient air pollution and its impact on human health and the environment.
In this connection, all HoDs, Town Councillors, ward chairmen, GBs, heads of educational institutions with five students each, TPMA, PTBA, PTYO, and PTCSU have been requested to compulsorily participate in the programme.
