DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, visited the ongoing Census of India 2027 training programmes at three venues within the DC Office Complex, Kohima, on June 10 and interacted with enumerators and supervisors.
According to DIPR report, addressing the trainees, Buchem described participation in the census as a historic responsibility and privilege, noting that enumerators would serve as the frontline workforce in collecting vital national data. He assured full support from supervisors, charge officers, administrative officials, and the Directorate of Census Operations, emphasizing that census work was a collective effort.
Highlighting the importance of accuracy and diligence, Buchem said the data collected would directly contribute to policy formulation and development planning at both state and national levels. He urged enumerators to take their responsibilities seriously and ensure precise and reliable information.
Buchem reminded that the upcoming House Listing Operation and Population Enumeration would become part of the nation’s history, calling on all personnel to perform their duties with dedication and pride. He stressed that the district’s achievement would be measured by the performance of every member of the team.
The training programme is being conducted to equip enumerators and supervisors with the necessary knowledge and skills for the successful conduct of Census 2027 operations.
