2nd inter-school chess tournament announced for Ngwalwa circle

DIMAPUR, JUN 10 (NPN): The Inter-School Chess Association – Ngwalwa Circle (ISCA-NC) has announced that the 2nd Inter-School Chess Tournament 2026 will be held on July 21 and 22 at Government High School, Heningkunglwa, Peren district.
The competition will be conducted under the 9-round Swiss System in the Rapid format, with a time control of 15 minutes plus a 5-second increment per move.
All affiliated schools have been requested to submit the names of 15 participants, including one team manager on or before June 30, 2026. Registration must be accompanied by the following fees: Annual Membership Fee – Rs. 1,000 per school; Entry Fee – Rs. 30 per player.
Team Championship: Champion Team will receive a running trophy and certificates.
Open Category: 1st to 10th positions will be awarded trophy and certificate.
Category Awards:
Classes VIII–X (Boys & Girls): 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize – medal and certificate
Classes V–VII (Boys & Girls): 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize – medal and certificate
Classes I–V (Boys & Girls): 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prize – medal and certificate.
Organizers have encouraged all participating schools to complete their registration within the stipulated time and extend their support to ensure the tournament’s success.
