Gov lauds Brahma Kumaris’ role in social transformation

DIMAPUR: Rajyogini Sister Rupa, director of Brahma Kumaris Kohima Centre, paid a courtesy call on Nagaland Governor, Nand Kishore Yadav, and briefed him on the organisation’s community service initiatives in the State on June 22.
During the interaction, Sister Rupa highlighted the Brahma Kumaris’ efforts in promoting moral and ethical values among youth, students, women and security personnel through seminars, workshops, meditation programmes and value based education. She explained that these initiatives aim to strengthen character, foster positive thinking and enhance holistic well being to address the growing mental and emotional challenges of modern life.
She also apprised the Governor of the forthcoming Mission Karmayogi initiative, sharing the vision of organising a similar programme at Lok Bhavan, Kohima, for government officials. The initiative seeks to empower administrators through role based leadership, value based governance and effective work culture.
The Governor lauded the Brahma Kumaris for their significant contributions in the fields of spiritual education, ethical leadership and social transformation, both in Nagaland and across the country. He commended their continuous efforts in promoting mental well being, harmonious living and moral values, and encouraged the organisation to expand its outreach for the benefit of society.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with a shared commitment towards fostering holistic development, ethical leadership and community well being in Nagaland.
