DIMAPUR: Nagaland Science Mission (NSM), under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, has invited Research and Development (R&D) proposals under a special multi-disciplinary initiative aimed at addressing location-specific problems in the state.
According to a DIPR report, the notification invites proposals across diverse fields of Science and Technology, with emphasis on developing solutions and products through S&T applications relevant to Nagaland. Indigenous Naga scientists, technologists, engineers and researchers working in academic institutions, registered societies, R&D institutions, or universities with adequate infrastructure are eligible to apply.
According to the guidelines, grants will be limited to laboratory consumables and minor scientific equipment, with project duration capped at two years. Proposals will be evaluated by a Technical Expert Committee strictly on the basis of technical merit of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and the Committee’s decision will be final.
Interested applicants may obtain the prescribed proposal format and submission guidelines from the Office of NSM or by writing to NSM.nagaland@gmail.com. Completed proposals, along with one hard copy bearing original signatures, certificates from investigators and endorsement from the head of the proposer’s institution, must be submitted either by post or in person to the Mission Director, Nagaland Science Mission, Directorate of Science & Technology, Below Civil Secretariat, Kohima – 797004, or emailed to the same address.
The last date for submission of proposals is July 31, 2026.
