KCCI hosts stakeholder interaction meet in Kohima

DIMAPUR: The newly elected office bearers of Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), led by president Ruokuoneilie Kesiezie, organised a stakeholder interaction cum dinner on June 27 at Where’s The Food Restaurant, New Ministers’ Hill, Kohima.
The programme brought together sector representatives from diverse business fields, providing a common platform for dialogue, collaboration and strengthening unity within the business fraternity. The programme was chaired by KCCI vice president Khriesazo Liezietsu, with invocation by spokesperson Kelhousizo Kire. In his presidential address, Kesiezie emphasized the importance of collective leadership, stronger stakeholder engagement and a unified approach to address issues affecting the business community.
A highlight of the event was the open discussion session, where participants deliberated on taxation and regulatory concerns, market syndicates and monopolistic practices, consumer welfare, strengthening the business ecosystem and safeguarding the interests of genuine entrepreneurs.
The gathering also discussed the need for a comprehensive census and statistical documentation of the business community to facilitate informed planning and effective policy advocacy. Members further exchanged ideas and preparations for the upcoming Golden Jubilee celebration of KCCI, scheduled later this year. The interaction concluded with a shared commitment among stakeholders to foster greater cooperation, strengthen institutional unity and work collectively towards creating a transparent, vibrant and business friendly environment while upholding consumer welfare.
