DIMAPUR: Pinnacle Skills Training Centre was inaugurated at TCP Gate, Kohima, on June 26 with a commitment to bridge the skills gap and create sustainable employment pathways for youth in Nagaland.
The programme began with invocation by pastor Neikepezo Shüya of Grace Chapel, followed by ribbon cutting by special guest Zubemo Tsanglao, additional director, Department of Employment, Skills Development & Entrepreneurship. The event was chaired by Arenla Kitho, senior manager, Kohima Centre. In his address, Zubemo Tsanglao underlined the critical need for skill based education in Nagaland. Observing the surplus of government employees and the resulting economic imbalance, he stressed that youth must be equipped with practical skills. He encouraged students to pursue international placements and learn foreign languages, stating that skills combined with language proficiency significantly enhance career prospects. He lauded Pinnacle Skills for its consistent contribution to skill development in the state and extended best wishes to students and faculty.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Yan Murry, CEO of Pinnacle Skills, reflected on the institution’s decade long journey in Kohima, noting that Pinnacle Skills is the first NSDC certified training centre in the state. He emphasized the importance of certification and urged students to value their credentials. Dr. Murry also introduced the concept of social responsibility for each batch, encouraging initiatives such as tree plantation and cleanliness drives to give back to the community.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ajung Thonger, Operations Head & HR, Pinnacle Skills.
