MOKOKCHUNG, JUN 28 (NPN): Two newly constructed roads-“L. Pangersowa Road and Longchara Junction to R.C. Chiten Jamir Memorial GHS Road”-constructed under SASCI 2025-26, were inaugurated on June 27 at Akhoya village by Nuklutoshi Longkumer MLA after a dedicatory prayer by ABC pastor, Rev. T. Lanu.
Addressing the gathering at R.C. Chiten Jamir Memorial GHS Assembly Hall, Nuklutoshi expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio and minister for Urban Development, Zhaleo Rio, for facilitating smooth implementation of the projects.
He also acknowledged advocate Akum Jamir for ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion ahead of schedule, and appreciated the landowners for their cooperation.
He asserted that meaningful development can be achieved when all stakeholders-people, landowners and construction agencies-work together with a refined mindset and common purpose.
Earlier, short speeches were delivered by SDO (C) & Executive Officer, CTC Changtongya, Sangpanchang Longkumer; Akhoya village council chairman, Tiatemjen; senior citizen, O. Shilu Jamir; and HM of R.C. Chiten Memorial GHS. The programme was chaired by Samuel Jamir, invocation by LBC pastor, and vote of thanks was proposed by Akhoya Senso Mungdang president, Imsuakum Jamir.
