TCA athletes secure 2 wins at Elite Contender Series 2 in Kolkata

DIMAPUR, JUN 28 (NPN): Athletes from The Combat Academy (TCA) delivered an impressive performance at the 2nd edition of the Elite Contender Series, held in Kolkata on June 27, securing two victories and showcasing remarkable grit against some of the country’s top amateur fighters.
On the preliminary card, Vivoto Tsukru produced a dominant display, winning via first‑round technical knockout (TKO). His sharp striking and composure inside the cage drew praise from spectators and organizers alike. On the main card, Lichonthung battled through a fiercely competitive three‑round contest to earn a split decision victory. His determination, technical ability and resilience impressed both the judges and the audience, marking a significant win for the academy. Also on the main card, Wungvamsem Raman showed immense courage despite suffering two deep cuts above his eyes. The referee stopped the bout in the second round, but Raman’s fighting spirit and refusal to quit earned respect from all present. With two wins from three bouts against high‑level opposition, The Combat Academy continues to establish itself as a rising force in Indian combat sports, providing its athletes with opportunities to compete and excel on national platforms.
