Skill development for students

DIMAPUR: Holy Cross Higher Secondary School (HCHSS), Dimapur, organised a two day Skill Development Workshop for Class XI and XII students on June 25 and 26, 2026 at the school auditorium.
According to a press release, the initiative aimed to equip students with practical, market relevant skills to foster creativity and provide opportunities for self employment and income generation in today’s changing world.
The workshop featured a variety of hands on activities including crochet, amigurumi making, traditional and contemporary jewellery crafting with beads, basket weaving and pipe cleaner flower making.
A total of 835 students participated, with Class XII students attending on the first day and Class XI students on the second. The school stated that the programme was designed to nurture creativity, encourage innovation and help students acquire skills that could be applied both for personal growth and livelihood opportunities.
