A DIPR report informed that addressing the meeting, Wiridin, SDO (Civil) Dimapur and Charge Officer, cautioned participants against rumours or misinformation regarding the Census. He informed that enumerators and supervisors had undergone adequate training and were prepared to carry out the exercise. Explaining the House Listing Operation, he said every structure, whether occupied or vacant, would be numbered and recorded, while enumerators would use a mobile application containing 34 questions to collect information.
Emphasising the importance of truthful data, Wiridin said household enumeration forms the backbone of the Census and appealed to citizens to provide accurate information. He urged Gaon Buras to nominate youth volunteers to assist enumerators during house numbering and to cooperate in demarcating village and enumeration block boundaries. He further highlighted that each supervisor would oversee six enumerators and called upon village authorities to guide Census teams during field visits.
Underscoring confidentiality, he reminded that Census information is strictly confidential and any breach is punishable under law. He encouraged participants to spread awareness in their villages and motivate residents to cooperate fully. EAC Dimapur, Khiuzan Kaurinta, informed that the House Listing Operation is the first phase of Census 2027 and said Dimapur district comprises three Census Charge areas—Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) and Dimapur Sadar.
The programme brought together Gaon Buras, village council representatives, supervisors and master trainers from 34 villages under Dimapur Sadar. Kaurinta appealed to village authorities to organise awareness meetings involving churches, community organisations and residents to ensure no household is left out.
Meanwhile, an outreach and awareness programme on Census 2027 Phase I (House Listing Operation) was organised for stakeholders under Longleng Town Council Charge, Longleng Sadar Charge and Yachem Charge.

Tungoe stressed that under the Census Act, 1948, every individual must be enumerated at their usual place of residence and urged citizens to furnish accurate information. He called upon community leaders and stakeholders to generate awareness and support enumerators and supervisors in discharging their duties without hindrance.
Appealing for wholehearted participation, Tungoe said a thorough and accurate Census would enable Longleng to receive its rightful share of welfare schemes, healthcare, education, road infrastructure and other developmental resources.
