DIMAPUR: The Kohima Lotha Hoho (KLH) held its general meeting cum welcoming programme for the new office bearers for the tenure 2026–2029 at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima, with advisor to Chief Minister, Dr. Chumben Murry as special invitee on June 30, 2026.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Murry highlighted the different stages of development, noting that in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), younger generations must be prepared to embrace change. Referring to Viksit Bharat 2027, he reminded that Nagaland should not be left behind when the nation is progressing, and urged youth to be ready to contribute. To the new KLH team, he said they were ambassadors of the Lotha community and must work for its welfare.
During the programme, Khyojamo Tungoe, convener Audit Committee, presented the KLH Jubilee 2025 Audit Report (2024–2025), while L. Yanremo Mozhui, treasurer, and S. Chonbemo Lotha, outgoing secretary, presented the 2024–2026 report. Rev. Dr. K. Benry Lotha, senior pastor Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC), invoked the dedicatory prayer for the incoming officials.
The new KLH team comprises 12 office bearers headed by K. N. Mhonthung Lotha as chairman, along with five advisors, who will serve for three years. Outgoing vice chairman E. Motsuthung Lotha enthralled the gathering with a special song before the general meeting deliberated on various agendas for community welfare.
The programme was chaired by E. Motsuthung Lotha, with vote of thanks pronounced by Jonas Yanthan. Earlier, blessings were invoked by Y. Abel Lotha, Catechist KLCK, while Khonbemo Ngullie, pastor AG Lotha Church Kohima, pronounced the benediction.
