Karmayogi Kartavya Karyashala training begins at ATI Kohima

DIMAPUR: A two day training programme on Karmayogi Kartavya Karyashala (KKK) commenced on July 1 at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima. The programme is organised by the Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department, Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India and ATI Nagaland.
According to a press release from ATI, the inaugural session was graced by Additional Chief Secretary and Director General ATI, V. Shashank Shekhar, as the special guest. In his address, Shekhar emphasized that one of the most fundamental responsibilities of government servants was to serve the most vulnerable sections of society with dedication and empathy. He also encouraged participants to recognise their role as change makers and role models within their workplaces and communities.
Resource persons for the training included Dr. Rajkumari Surbala Devi, Dr. Tanya Nandkeoliar from RIMS Imphal, and Maibam Warish representing the Capacity Building Commission.
The KKK, described as one of the largest training initiatives of its kind globally, aims to institutionalise a culture of Seva Bhav (Service Attitude) among frontline government officials by instilling the spirit of selfless public service. Through a cascading model, National Lead Trainers train State Master Trainers, who upon certification as State Lead Trainers, further train frontline officials across departments.
The programme is being attended by 40 participants drawn from six departments—Nagaland Police, Municipal Affairs, SCERT, Social Welfare, Health & Family Welfare, and State Institute of Rural Development.
