NWHD lauds DMC for waste bin donation, awareness drive

DIMAPUR: The Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) has acknowledged the generous support extended by the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) during the recently held Skill-Based Development Workshop on June 27, 2026.
In a press release, NWHD has expressed gratitude to the DMC chairman and the entire team for donating wet and dry waste bins to all participants of the workshop, as well as to the NWHD office. The organisation also appreciated the informative session on waste management conducted during the programme, which educated participants on proper waste segregation and responsible environmental practices. According to the NWHD, the contribution of waste bins and the awareness session will play a vital role in safeguarding the environment and promoting cleaner and greener practices in Dimapur. The note emphasised that the initiative would inspire participants to put their knowledge into practice and encourage others in the community to adopt sustainable waste management habits.
The NWHD further highlighted that collective efforts such as these are essential in building a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable society.
