WOKHA, JUL 4 (NPN): The Longsa Village Council destroyed two cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) seized within the village on July 4, reaffirming its strict enforcement of the village’s no-alcohol and no-intoxicants policy.
The seized items were destroyed by council members in the presence of the public and authorities. Issuing a stern warning, the council cautioned residents against the sale, storage, or transportation of alcohol and other intoxicants within its jurisdiction.
It further emphasized that anyone found violating the village’s standing resolution on prohibition would face strict action in accordance with village rules and regulations. The council also appealed to villagers to cooperate in maintaining a healthy, peaceful, and drug-free community by reporting any such illegal activities to the authorities.
