DIMAPUR, JUL 13 (NPN): Tito Yepthomi, proprietor of Prysm Lounge, surrendered before the police on Monday in connection with a First Information Report (FIR) lodged by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on July 10, 2026.
The FIR alleged offences including wrongful restraint, endangering life, assault, criminal intimidation, public nuisance and illegal sale of liquor.
Acting on the FIR, police raided Prysm Lounge on July 11, 2026 and seized a large quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). Sources said that Tito has been arrested and investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, in a related development, the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dimapur, refused to accept the bail granted by police to three accused– Katho P. Awomi (35), Hutoshe Yepthomi (33), and Homugha Achumi (30) in connection with the June 30 incident.
As per the court order, the personal recognizance (PR) bail bonds executed in favour of the three accused were “without any legal sanction and authority” and were deemed “non-est in law and cannot be accepted by the court”.
Consequently, the police forwarded the accused persons to the court on July 10, 2026 and remanded to judicial custody.
